I stayed up ridiculously late last night playing Halo 2, and then when I couldn’t sleep when we were done with that, I sat up longer and worked on a program (that was due a week ago). While I didn’t end up sleeping very much last night, it is nice to be back to my normal sleep patterns.
The lesson that we learn from this, of course, is that Halo is a cure for cancer and/or depression.
Last night I beat Halo 2 (just on the normal skill level, mind you). The story is left unfinished at the end–a cliff-hanger, if you will. There’s these rumors that Halo 3 is coming out next year, and I’m not sure if it’s reasonable to think that it could come out so soon, but I’d say that there definitely will be a Halo 3. Sunday, Sunday, Someday.
So last night we’re sitting around making fun of Emily because the German guy likes her, and she tells us about how he came over all excited to show her Gabe’s new TV. I mention (because this is all that I think about) that it was the same week that Halo 2 came out. The girls tell me it wasn’t, and I assert that it was because that’s when and why Gabe got his new TV. Then Elizabeth asks, “Who’s Halo 2?”
I recorded Scrubs on Tuesday because I was busy playing Halo 2. Well, I thought I had recorded it. I started to watch it last night when I got home, and the first five minutes were great (“I don’t care about anything you think about anything.”). Then it just stoppped. Jordan says he didn’t turn it off, so I guess there must be some higher power preventing me from recording Scrubs. Well, I decided to scoff at that power and watch an old episode that I had recorded, and here’s the lesson from Heather Graham’s character: “And you don’t have to be a psychiatrist to see, Perry, that if you used to be truly happy and now you’re not, then you should go back to the way it was when you were happy. Isn’t that what you would do?“
Colorado was a success. I played Halo, got a haircut, and ate french toast. I don’t know what else you could ask for. Today was a good day academically, too. I discovered the Physics help lab, so I actually was able to figure out my homework today, and I raised my GPA via the Spanish credit test. I was kind of worried about it, but I finished it in 15 minutes and only missed one problem, so I guess I didn’t really need to be worried. Either that or I had some divine assistance. AND, I’m still on spring break, so I’m not shaving.
